PSG vs Arsenal: 7 Players to Watch Out For
Arsenal and PSG have faced each other seven times in European competitions, with the head-to-head record tied: each team has won two games and drawn three.

Whether you're rooting for Arsenal or for Paris Saint-Germain, you can not deny that this is going to be one of the most exciting UEFA Champions League finals. As a PSG fan, you might be expecting to witness some of Dembélé's magic, whereas as a Gunner, you would love seeing Raya's wall-like defense against the strongest attack.

The stakes have never been higher for Arsenal. They have come this close for the second time in UCL, and would not want to waste their chances. The match will be played at the historic Puskás Aréna, Budapest, Hungary, on Saturday, May 30, 2026, at 12:00 PM ET. With a roaring crowd of over 60,000 people, it would be exciting to witness who creates history.

What makes this match exciting is not Arsenal's potential to win their first UCL title or PSG's chance to defend the title. It is a contest between two Spanish managers, who were also teammates for a short time at FC Barcelona. It would be a contest between Luis Enrique's vertical pressing style and Mikel Arteta's structured positional play, though both squads look promising. Here, we have created a list of the seven players you must watch for.

Bukayo Saka (Arsenal – Right Wing)

Saka has been with Arsenal for over seven years and is locked into a contract until 2030. His recent decisive goal at the 43rd minute against Atletico Madrid helped Arsenal get to their second UCL final, making him one of the favorites to watch out for. The 24-year-old Arsenal academy product has scored 7 Premier League goals and three Champions League goals in the 2025-26 season. In his last encounter with PSG, Saka was the only Gunner to score a goal. However, PSG's strong attack led them not only to win the semi-final against Arsenal but also to lift their first UCL title.

Khvicha Kvaratskhelia (PSG – Left Wing)

The 25-year-old winger from Georgia is breaking the headlines with his phenomenal performance. Khvicha Kvaratskhelia, the former Napoli player, is having the best season of his career with 18 goals and 9 assists, and is currently the leading goalscorer for PSG at UCL 2026 with 10 goals and 5 assists. Interestingly, 7 out of those 10 goals came in the knockout stages, which shows his ability to perform under pressure. Kvaratskhelia was mesmerizing against Bayern Munich in the first leg of the semi-final, where he scored twice. It would be interesting to watch him play against the strongest defense in the Champions League 2026.

Declan Rice (Arsenal – Midfield)

A good midfielder can change the fate of any club, and Declan Rice is one prime example of it. He's the powerhouse, the dynamo, and box-to-box connector who creates chances for Arsenal. He did it against Atletico, and he's been doing it in the Premier League. While Arsenal's defense is undoubtedly magnificent, it was Rice's midfield stability that played a critical role in Arsenal's clean sheet at home across all the knockout matches. Would he be able to repeat the magic? May 30 will have all the answers.

Ousmane Dembélé (PSG – Right Wing)

Ousmane Dembélé is one of the most underrated playmakers of this generation. The French winger has scored 7 critical goals and 2 assists in 12 UCL matches he played for PSG this season. His goal scoring and playmaking ability reflect how he can drift centrally into zone 14 and ghost into dangerous spaces. Though he had a difficult season because of injuries, he is expected to be fit for the much-awaited finale. It would be a delight to watch Dembélé's swift movements against Arsenal's left-sided defenders like Lewis-Skelly or Calaflori.

William Saliba (Arsenal – Centre-Back)

Saliba is all set to showcase his defensive abilities against some of the strongest attackers of the Champions League. With 21 clean sheets across all competitions, the 25-year-old Centre-back is one of the key factors of Arsenal's defense strategy. Since Saliba alone can't defend, he has a strong partner in the form of Gabriel Magalhães. Till now, Arsenal has conceded only 6 goals in 14 UCL matches. However, it would be interesting to watch if they could stop the likes of Kvaratskhelia and Dembélé.

João Neves (PSG – Midfield)

The 20-year-old Portuguese midfielder is the chief disruptor and engine for PSG. With 57 tackles, he already holds the record of most tackles by any player in a single tournament. Besides, he is the only player to reach 50+ tackles and ranks 2nd in duels, winning 107 of them. He presses aggressively but pushes high in possession, enabling overload of the left half-space with Vitinha and Fabián Ruiz. The final battle duel between Arsenal's Declan Rice will be the moment fans will be waiting for.

David Raya (Arsenal – Goalkeeper)

David Raya Arsenal

The Spanish goalkeeper had been unbeatable in the Champions League 2026. With 19 clean sheets in 37 games, he won the Premier League Golden Glove for the third consecutive time, making him the only goalkeeper to win in each of the last three seasons. In 13 matches of the UCL, he kept 9 clean sheets. The real game would be to see him face the trio of Vitinha, Dembélé, and Kvaratskhelia. Raya might not be the tallest goalkeeper, but his excellent command of high balls will be crucial against PSG's attack and set-piece routines.

PSG vs Arsenal: What to expect?

While both teams have strong chances, PSG is clearly the favorite because of their defending champions status and Kvaratskhelia's record-breaking tournament. Finals have a different kind of pressure, and we have seen top teams getting choked. The bigger question would be whether Luis Enrique repeats history or Mikel Arteta creates a new one. The Premier League Champions are 11/10 outsiders to win the title, while PSG are 8/11 favorites, according to Betfair. Given PSG's more potent offense and Arsenal's superior defense, a close game is anticipated.
