Early Morning Routine Automation
Imagine walking into your kitchen at 7:00AM with comfort and no haste. In previous times, these hours were typically known as the “hours of chaos.” Fast forward to today's time, it is the scenario of smooth automation.
While you are asleep, CLOiD was busy doing all the necessary chores in the kitchen. Using its upgraded version of Multi-Joined Arms, it has already emptied the dishwasher and has well- organized the pantry. As you wake up and approach the counter, CLOiD's computer vision immediately recognizes your morning grogginess and signals the ThinQ coffee machine to start making your preferred brew. In this situation, the robot is not waiting for your command; it is executing its own decision that suits your needs.
The Invisible Housekeeper:
Traditionally, cleaning the house was a weekend-killer. At CES 2026, LG demonstrated how CLOiD utilizes Digital Twin Technology to manage your home in real-time.
You no longer have to transfer wet clothes. CLOiD's tactile sensors allow it to sort, move and even fold laundry with utmost delicacy. If you see a spot or a spill in your clothes, don't worry! CLOiD's 360- degree LiDAR sensors detect a dropped blueberry or a muddy paw print instantly, deploying specialized cleaning attachments even before the stain sets. CLOiD also acts as a mobile security hub, checking locks and monitoring air quality, ensuring that your house stays fresh and safe at all times.
Your Sous-Chef and Scullery Maid
By evening 6:00P.M., the “second shift” of home, life usually sets in with cooking and cleaning. But with the launching of CLOi in 2026, your kitchen will turn to a place of creativity rather than a place of labor.
In the CES demo, we watched CLOi acting as the ultimate Chef’s Aide. It does not suggest recipes, but also prepares, chopping, stirring and monitoring it's internal temperatures via Bluetooth. After you finish having your meal, the “scullery maid” mode begins. You head to your couch for relaxation, while CLOi clears up the table and wipes the “Sixth Wall” surfaces to a sterile shine.
Reclaiming the Human Element
The reason behind launching LG's CLOiD robots is clear: Technology isn't here to replace our home; it is here to return it to us. By removing the “labor,” LG allows us to focus on the “living.”
Steve Baek, president of the LG Home Appliance Solution Company, says, “The LG CLOiD home robot is designed to naturally engage with and understand the humans it serves, providing an optimized level of household help.” He further added, “We will continue our relentless efforts to achieve our "Zero Labor Home vision," making housework a thing of the past so that customers can spend more time on the things that really matter.”
