When Jeff Bezos stepped down as CEO of Amazon back in 2021, he didn't simply retire, instead he shifted towards a “Day 1” mission that is arguably more ambitious than building the world's largest retailer.
Today, Bezos is focusing on the survival of humanity, the evolution of AI, and the next frontier of the internet.
Blue Origin
Following a successful year of witnessing the maiden flight of the New Glenn rocket, the company has shifted its attention towards the Moon.
The company considered as a critical partner for NASA’s Artemis program. The main focus is on the "Blue Moon Mark 1" pathfinder mission, aiming to prove that private companies can land heavy payloads on the lunar surface.
In early 2026, the company announced “TerraWave,” an optical communication network in space, signalling Bezos’s intent to dominate space-based data transfer.
